WISCONSIN – Centron Energy Corporation, an international supplier of specialty fuel additives, has announced patented gasoline and diesel fuel additives that increase fuel efficiency by an average of 15%. The Centron additive package is a cold blend of environmentally safe, biodegradable chemicals that improve air quality by reducing carbon monoxide emissions by over 40%, hydrocarbon emissions by over 50% and nitrous oxide emissions by over 20%. These additives also remove corrosive deposits and moisture from the fuel system, promoting cleaner, more efficient combustion.
"In this century," President Bush said in his January 28, 2008 State of the Union Address, "the greatest environmental progress will come about not through endless lawsuits or command-and-control regulations, but through technology and innovation." Centron's innovative fuel additives help consumers reach the goals outlined in the President's speech and in the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, which raises the required corporate average fuel economy (CAFÉ) of automakers to 35 miles per gallon by 2020 from their current levels of 17.5 miles per gallon for passenger cars and 22.5 miles per gallon for light trucks.
Ken Klein, Senior Vice President of Sales at Centron, said, "We are excited to be able to address these fuel efficiency goals by offering a workable solution today, one that doesn't need expensive refinery or underground tank modifications. The Centron family of products offers fuel efficiency to both large and small users right now, when every mile of fuel efficiency counts."
